Join Sarah Webb to hear a remarkable tale of friendship, bravery and adventure, inspired by true
events from World War 2.
Dive into the real-life history of Maureen Sweeney, the Blacksod woman whose D-Day weather
readings would impact the entire trajectory of the war. Inspired by Maureen’s incredible true
story, Sarah’s children’s book, The Weather Girls follows twelve-year-old Grace Devine as she and
her family and friends secretly change the course of history.
Children will also have the chance to ask Sarah their questions about storytelling, finding ideas,
and how to write their own stories or books.
