Coutts, Peter
Books, Manuscripts
Dr Peter Coutts is an Australian archaeologist, now retire, with a special interest in the economic and social history of Irish Quakers. He has already published several articles that deal with the history and demography of the Newgarden Meeting membership and that illustrate how such Meetings worked in practice. In the process he has carefully examined and assessed the records that are available for the Meeting, most of which are now housed in the Historical Library of the Religious Society of Friends, Dublin. This book is essentially a summary of his research to date based upon detailed analyses and innovative ways of processing Quaker records.
