Bailiúchán: Adult Fiction

Lottie and Jack are two mice blissfully happy except for Angus the cat. He steals their Christmas lunch and makes sure they have no Christmas presents. The mice decide to visit Ton Chee, the wise old rat, to see if he can sort out their problem.

Set against a background of political turbulence in Kerala, this is the story of twins Esthappen and Rahel who try to craft a childhood for themselves amongst the vats of banana jam and heaps of peppercorns in their grandmother's factory.
